Beeswax costs more since the wax is only made by honeybees & supply is limited. Honeybees produce wax from the glands on their bodies. It requires a lot of energy. The more wax made, the less honey there is. For every 1-2 pounds of wax, the bees lose around 6 pounds of honey.
